WAM exposes French artist Ramdane Touhami’s taste. It’s an invitation to explore his world, the world of one of the most creative people in today’s artistic direction. WAM is a journalistic oddity, where Ramdane Touhami set out to meet with his friends and most faithful companions. The uncensored interviews and atypical style are highlighted by a chiselled typeface and a striking design.

It’s also an editorial oddity, where Ramdane Touhami visits an empty, touristless Louvre Museum, sets up a face-to-face between his two favourite countries, Japan and Switzerland – through Ballenberg and Tatemono-En, their architectural museums – and documents his taste for stores through 30 days of shopping. A cyclist who keeps his eyes wide open, he also chronicles the story of Paris, presenting the many faces of the City of Paris’ arms through the centuries and its most beautiful doors, these ubiquitous, monumental ornaments.

On the menu: typography heaven, glossy paper, self-indulging advertising, and outspokenness. Enough to raise a few delicate, dumbfounded eyebrows.

Ramdane Touhami is an entrepreneur and artistic director. He runs the Officine Universelle Buly, a classic perfume and cosmetic products counter with outlets in 10 countries. In 2019, he founded the creation and artistic direction agency Art Recherche Industrie with a singular modus operandi in mind: advocating for in-house, home-made work.
