Description

Our fourth issue, The Reverie Issue explores introspective realities, escapism and transcendental liberation

Our fourth issue explores Reverie as rebellion against established norms, addressing fantasy as a tool for freedom and examining the ways in which we can find hope in a chaotic world. As such, the issue considers the bridging across different realities to tell new stories about ourselves, each other and our communities.

Inside, you’ll find interviews with the Igbo and Tamil writer, Akwaeke Emezi and Ghanaian-American artist Amaarae, as well as a thought-provoking roundtable discussion on Sex and Sexuality as African Women. Throughout, whether in editorials or essays, we cover a host of topics considering alternative internal realities, sexual liberation for women of colour and surreal presentations of Black experiences.
