Doing a 30-day residency in Shanghai, Roberto collaborated with the BROWNIE team on the design, editorial and production of the book. PEOPLE OF SHANGHAI presents not only the individual faces of the crowd in Shanghai—home to 24 million residents and 24 million stories—but also the connections and networks scattered throughout the city. Through the perspective of a western photographer, we rediscover the human touch behind Shanghai that might otherwise be often overlooked. PEOPLE OF SHANGHAI is an exploration and observation of urban life in this mobile era through the use of portraits, urban landscapes and insightful stories.
