The texts are written in Portuguese or Spanish and translated into English. We invited visual artists, photographers, writers, and thinkers from Brazil, Ecuador, El Salvador, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic—and beyond—to tell stories about music, street markets, and the representation of peripheral communities, whether in Brazil or the United States. We even invited corn—el maíz—to write a message to humanity.
